Gainesville, Fl.(AP)- Former Dougherty High star Maurice Mitchell has legal troubles in Gainesville, Florida.
Police there have filed eight arrest complaints against Mitchell and two of his Florida teammates.
The trio are accused of tearing the mirrors off cars in downtown Gainesville early Sunday morning.
All three men have told police they are innocent. The state's attorney will review the case and make the decision whether to charge the players.
All eight counts are misdemeanors but the total damage to the cars was over one thousand dollars which could make it a felony.
Innocent or guilty, the news is not going to make Florida coach Ron Zook happy.
Zook said last month Mo Mitchell was on a tight leash because of previous problems with the team.
On Monday, Zook said he will not take any discipline action until he talks with the players and learns more about the case.
