ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Kids across Southwest Georgia are preparing to go back to school. Thanks to the United Way, many children will go back with much needed school supplies.

U-Save-It Pharmacies and Walmart collected supplies and today, those who need them the most received them.  Alicia Jackson said, "Each year we have dozens of families that are calling needing assistance with school supplies for their kids. This is helping them to go to school with those things and it's taking some of the burden off of families. Families who may be suffering right now. It's taking some of the burden off of them."

Customers at U-Save-It Pharmacies helped contribute to the school supplies that were given away to students today.
