A direct line to parental involvement

January 13, 2003

Albany - A quick phone call or a click of the mouse now allows you to find out about your child's homework, discipline problems, and other school issues. The new HIP communication system is up and running in most Dougherty County schools. The computer software allows teachers to send an e-mail or phone message to tell parents about homework, absences, academic or discipline problems.

"I hope all parents will start using the system," said Karen Gargel, Media Specialist. "There's a toll free number, 1-866-4-HIP-KID. Just call and hear student information."

To find out your personal student code call you child's school.
