ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Southwest Georgia Auburn Club will be turning dreams into reality.
The club met in Albany Tuesday to make a big announcment regarding the club's Cleve Wester Scholarship.
The club has raised enough funds to now offer one Auburn Student from Southwest Georgia a fully endowed scholarship every year.
Former Auburn football star Tracy Rocker was the event's guest speaker. Rocker is entering his first year as Auburn's Defensive Line Coach and says most of the players are buying into new head coach Gene Chizik's system.
"So far I would say 90 percent of them are all on board. They want to change what happened. You know it was a bad season last year. So it's very important that they do well this year" said Rocker.
Auburn will open up the season at home against Louisiana Tech on September 5th.
