ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  An Albany Dougherty Inner City Authority board member says there's no reason to get rid of the entire board.

City commissioner Roger Marietta called for the ouster of the entire ADICA board yesterday because of questions about how ADICA Executive Director Don Buie is handling money.

But Phil Cannon, who's been on the ADICA board since 2007, says the entire board shouldn't be punished.

"I think it's preliminary for any decision to be made or had regarding vacating the entire board of directors for ADICA," Cannon said. "I don't think that this is anything that the board did. This appears to be criminal activity that, of course, stays hidden until somebody uncovers it."

The board of directors has not met since May. We tried contacting every board member, Cannon was the only one who responded to our requests for comment. Board members Jane Willson and James Griffin were out of town.
