ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A Crisp County hit-and-run victim remains hospitalized as does the man police say struck her with his truck.

37-year-old William Priest was taken to the hospital because of an overdose, but he's charged with hit and run, DUI, and failure to render assistance.

Crisp County investigators say Priest was behind the wheel of a Ford F-150 that struck and 33-year-old Sonya McCall on Royal Road Monday morning.

He drove off, but deputies tracked him down to a house of Rose Avenue.

Investigators believe McCall had been a passenger in Priest's truck before she was hit.

McCall is listed in fair condition at Crisp Regional Hospital.
