ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Power was back up Monday morning at two northwest Albany businesses left in the dark after a major power outage affected the area.

By 9 a.m.  the lights were back on at Holiday Inn and Chick-Fil-A after Water, Gas & Light crews worked for several hours to replace an underground cable. A number of restaurants, stores, and hotels along Dawson Road and Westover Boulevard were affected beginning around 4:30 Sunday.

Crews had much of the power restored by 8 o'clock Sunday night, but overnight guest staying at Holiday Inn were re-located to another hotel.

Some businesses like Krystal and Chic-Fil-A had to temporarily shut down because of the outages.
