ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany's downtown manager says there was an oversight when paying rent on a downtown business. In fact, ADICA is three months in arrears on rent payments to the county.
The building that houses the Dollar Square store is owned by the county and leased to ADICA for a little more than $2,000 a month. ADICA collects $700 a month from the store owner.
But ADICA's lease payment to the county hasn't been made since April.
The county has mailed the bill for rent to ADICA's P.O. Box. ADICA CEO Don Buie says it was an oversight and the board will take it up at its August meeting.
