South Georgia Girl Scouts kicked off the annual tradition with a party at Albany's Stardust Skate Center. The revenue from cookie sales helps many Girl Scouts afford a college education through scholarships.

Girl Scouts will begin taking orders Friday. If you don't know a scout, look for booths at area grocery stores and shopping centers.
