COVINGTON, GA (WALB) -  The Albany Dixie League 12 and under All-Stars beat Thomaston 5-4 on Thursday night in Covington.

The win sends Albany Dixie into the state championship series.

Albany Dixie plays Troup County in a best two out of three series with the winner advancing to the DYB World Series in Laurel, Mississippi.

Game one of the championship series is at 6:00 p.m. in Covington.
