SIAC coaches pin bullseye on Rams - WALB.com, Albany News, Weather, Sports
The goal for the Albany State football team is to return to the top of the SIAC.
A majority of the conference coaches believe that will happen this fall.
Albany State is the preseason pick in voting by SIAC coaches to win the SIAC title.
The Rams last title was in 2006 which they shared with Tuskegee which has won the last two titles.
Morehouse is picked third, Clark 4th, Miles 5th and Fort Valley State 6th.
Albany State defensive end Joshua Ingram and defensive back Mario Fuller are first team picks to the SIAC preseason team.
Tight end Larry Johnson, offensive lineman Mike Mav-ro-michalis and kicker Juan Bongarra were second team selections.
The SIAC football kickoff is Friday in Atlanta.
