ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Darton coach Dale Dover has been able to reload during the Cavalier run of three national junior college titles and two consecutive national runner-up finishes in the last five years.
Dover will have an entirely new team with freshman Lon An deciding not to return for his senior season.
Dover says the two returning sophomores Josh Cone and Roy Steinberg are good players but need tournament experience.
And then there will be pressure on freshman class that includes Taylor Cooksey from Tift County, Lowndes' Trey McQuaig and Valdosta's Jason Bennett who is transferring from St. Andrews College.
Dale Dover said. "Normally we have reloaded a bit but this year we are going to have to rebuild.".
The Darton freshman class also includes Taylor Wellborn from Troup High in LaGrange and Jared Wagenar from South Africa.
