ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Georgia football team has been on a recruiting roll this summer with several big name commitments.

Carver High coach Dell McGee says the Bulldogs aren't welcome to recruit his players.

McGee has ban Georgia coaches from recruiting at Carver High in Columbus after Georgia rescinded a scholarship offer to Carver High quarterback Devin Burns.

Burns and his family had traveled to Athens this weekend to commit to sign with the team in February.

Coach McGee understands schools pull scholarship offers but believes Georgia handled this the wrong way.

A point that the coach expressed directly to Georgia head coach Mark Richt.

Carver head coach Dell McGee said. "He apologized. I just stated, you know, you won't be welcome on our campus for a while. He understood that and he actually stated that he would do the exact same thing. He said he respects us, respects our program, and respects us for standing up for our kids in our program."

Burns has several other scholarship offers including Vanderbilt and Maryland.
