The relatives have gotten to see McCray have one of the best seasons by a Wildcats defensive back.
While the final stats for Saturday's Boise game are still being finalized, McCray had another big game with tackles and his third interception of the season.
The former Albany State Ram and Thomasville High Bulldog is leading the Wildcats in tackles this season and has a outside shot of setting the single season record for solo tackles.
McCray it seems is always around the football and he says that comes from playing high school and college football in south Georgia.
Demetrie McCray said. "I guess that just came from Thomasville High School and Albany State. Coach (Mike) White always wanted us to be around the football. So, it has just carried over. It is like second nature for me to be around the football. I just like to be around the football every play."
The South Georgia Wildcats close out the AF2 regular season at Tennessee Valley Saturday night in Huntsville.
