ALBANY, GA (WALB) - For the first time in the 12 year history of the Challenge Cup Doublegate Country Club has bragging rights among Albany's four Country Clubs.
Doublegate captured its' first ever Challenge Cup on Sunday winning by eight strokes over host Grand Island.
Doublegate was led by dominant performances from Drew Broadaway and Dave Hill in Sunday's scramble. The two combined for a 14 under par 58.
Next years challenge cup will be played at Stonebridge.
