Girls attacked by neighbor's dog

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - We have an update on a dog attack we told you about yesterday after a litle girl and her sister were mauled by a neighbor's dog.

3-year-old Tamariel Williams suffered critical injuries to her face, arm, and leg.

Saturday afternoon Tamariel was transferred out of Intensive Care at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

8-year-old Trinaeal Williams was bitten on the chest and neck and scratched on her face.

She was treated and released from the hospital.

The girls were walking through a neighbor's yard on West Central Avenue, when the dog got out of its kennel and attacked them.

"Basically the dog grew up with them, a lot of people say it's the way you raise them but they've been playing with this dog for the longest then all of a sudden this day he turns. It's not about how your raise them because if it's in the bloodline they're going to do what they do anyway," said Travis Williams, Victim's Father.

The dog was euthanized, and will be tested for rabies.

Moultrie police say no charges will be filed.
