ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Parents left their children in good hands Friday. Their kids were in the hands of former Super Bowl MVP Deion Branch. The NFL wide reciever was back in the good life city hosting his 3rd annual football camp with fellow NFL star Anthony Maddux.
Dozens of kids were taking part in drills, training, and autographs.
Branch and Maddux both played at Monroe High School and say they come back hoping they can serve as role models.
"These kids out here are four, five, six, seven years old. The last thing they need to be thinking about is the NFL. The most important thing is school, getting your work done, listening to your parents and doing what's right. Staying out of trouble" said Branch.
"If I could just touch one of the kids that come out to the camp you know I feel like my job is well done" said Maddux.
Deion heads to training camp with Seattle in two weeks and says he is 100 percent after surgery to repair a torn ACL. Maddox recently took part in mini camp with New Orleans and is hoping to make an NFL roster this season.
