Lee County- Monday the Lee County Board of Commissioners selected the chair and vice chair for the upcoming year.

Billy Mathis will keep his position as chairman, and newcomer Jackie Sizemore will act as vice-chair. The board also appointed members to several new committees.

"I appreciate the county so much and we've grown so much. I would like to hang in there and do what I can for the county," says Ida Chambers, who was appointed to the Regional Development Center Board.

"I feel privileged and honored. I look forward to good year and I think we can all work good together," says new board member and vice-chairman, Jackie Sizemore. "I think we can make some good decisions together.

Sizemore replaces Commissioner Jackie McCorkle as vice-chair. He will represent the Smithville/Chokee district.
