Moultrie - A Moultrie Police Officer is struck by a suspected drunk driver while standing in a parking lot. The officer survived, but has a broken leg.

Nineteen-year-old Jonathan Kyle Jones of Norman Park was arrested Sunday night and charged with DUI, possibly drug related. Deputies say Jones' eyes were watery, his pupils dilated and speech was impaired.

Jones' Toyota Camry hit 39-year-old Officer Charles May at Freckles Skating Rink after the officer responded to a disturbance complaint. Deputies are waiting on blood alcohol results to confirm DUI charges.

Officer May will probably be out of work for at least six weeks.
