ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Terrell County Sheriff John Bowens wants to stop what appears to be a growing gang problem in Terrell County with help from his law enforcement neighbors.

Deputies and Dawson Police recently spotted gang graffiti on buildings at the Old Sasser Peanut Company and on street signs throughout the city and county.

Bowens wants neighbors to become more informed about gang activity so he's planned a county wide meeting for August fourth at the Terrell County High School Gym at 6:00 P-M.

Bowens invited members of the Albany Gang Task Force to answer questions neighbors might have about gangs.
