ALBANY, GA (WALB) - South Georgia kids learn traffic safety tips while having fun.

The coordinator of Albany Safe Communities led a game of traffic bingo at the Thornton Community Center Summer Youth Program today.

The kids filled in bingo sheets for prizes by answering questions about traffic safety.

Albany Safe Communities Coordinator Michele DeMott said  "We want the to come away with a little more knowledge of pedestrian safety, bicycle safety, and school bus safety. How to safely get on and off the bus, and what to look for when you are out as a pedestrian walking in your neighborhood, or bicycling through your neighborhood."

Michele DeMott put on the traffic bingo lessons at all four Dougherty County Community Center youth programs.
