Valdosta - A South Georgia man has been arrested for robbing a motel, and investigators believe he may be responsible for several other robberies in the area.

42-year-old Curtis Roundtree entered the Comfort Inn in Valdosta Saturday morning and told the desk clerk to give him all the money, or he would shoot her. After Roundtree left with about 100 dollars, the clerk called a security guard who was able to alert local authorities.

They captured Roundtree just a few miles away. Investigators believe he may be connected to two other recent motel robberies.

"We had one on the 14th and 28th of December, and will now see what his role may have been in those robberies," said Sgt. Steve Owens.

Roundtree is being held in the Lowndes County jail charged with armed robbery.
