ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Three people were arrested and more than 50 tickets handed out during that huge roadblock in Lee County Friday night.

Law officers from a dozen counties set up roadblocks at 4 locations in Lee County.

At least three drivers were charged with DUI.

Law officers say since they started these big joint road blocks eight years ago, they've

seen a decline in the number of drunk driving and driver's license violations, but one continuing problem is child restraint

Albany Safe Communities Coordinator Michele DeMott said "Children either not being in a child restraint when required to, or not being buckled into the restraint that they have. The restraint not being buckled into the seat. So we have child passenger safety technicians on hand to work with those families on the side of the road to get children buckled up properly."

Lee County Sheriff's Deputies handed out 10 tickets for child seat belt violations in Friday night's roadblock.
