ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  An Albany church says they plan to hire hundreds of people to fill jobs they hope to create over the next few years.

Israel's Temple Worldwide, Incorporated held a job fair Monday.   They plan another one Wednesday.

There aren't any jobs now, but church leaders say they'll be available in about a year. They plan to build three new facilities that will require additional employees.

"I think it will be a great opportunity," said Cassandra Oliver. "Because right now we have a lot of people that are out of work, some that have lost jobs, so this is an opportunity for us to deliver a service to the community where they look for the churches to kind of help in this area."

The church plans to hire about 700 people to fill positions at all three new facilities, two of which will be in Albany. The third is planned for Ashburn.
