BAKER COUNTY, GA (WALB) - The Baker County Sheriff's Office is working to find out exactly why a man burned down a house in the northern part of the county.
The house fire was on Millford Church Road in Baker County.
David Hawkins is suspected of burning down the abandoned house on the Amber Woods Sanctuary. He's now in jail.
The sheriff's office says Hawkins once worked for the woman who owns the property.
She and Hawkins had a disagreement, so he returned and set that house on fire.
Authorities say he's also accused of holding that same woman at gunpoint not too long ago.
Now Hawkins is charged with aggravated stalking and arson.
