Albany State head coach John I. Davis may need a magic wand to break what seems like a hex over the Golden Ram basketball team.
The visiting Lemoyne-Owen Magicians rallied from a nine point halftime deficit to beat the Golden Rams in overtime 70-69 Saturday night.
Cortez Strigger led the visitors with with 25 points. Flem Tucker was Albany State with 18 points. Jessie Morris added 13 and former Dougherty High star David Wilson poured in 11 points.
Albany State drops to 1-11 overall and 1-2 in the S.I.A.C. with Miles College coming to the HPER Gym on Monday night.

Pamela Butler scored 21 points and Cyndey Smith added 16 as the Albany State Lady Rams remained unbeaten in conference play after their 73 to 60 win over the Lady Magicians of Lemoyne-Owen. Myquita Mackey led Lemoyne-Owen with 20 points.
