ALBANY, GA (WALB) - After following one of the hottest starts in the AF2 with a three game losing streak you had to wonder if the South Georgia Wildcats had enough gas left in the tank to make it to the finish line. Last night the Cats put the worries to rest with a 52-35 win over Florida and winning seems to solve everything.

"We feel like we've got our mojo back a little bit. That's all coach was talking about this week man. Come out and play with confidence it's all the players were talking about, some of the leaders of the team" said WR Alvance Robinson.

Those leaders kept the promise and the offense delivered one big play after another.

"One touchdown turned into another and another one and another one and we just kept out feet on the peddle" said QB Darnell Kennedy.

The defense kept Florida's foot on the brake. Constant pressure on the quarterback led to three firecat turnovers.

"I think the main thing coach wanted us to do this week was just to go back to playing and having fun and so that's what we did and when you go back to having fun everything just falls into place" said DB Demetrie McCray.

"All game we talked about being explosive. Defensive guys stay explosive stay explosive, continue to make plays and that's what they did" said head coach Rodney Blackshear.

Now the Wildcats earn a spot in the playoffs for a third straight season but with two games left on the schedule don't expect the Wildcats to be looking ahead.

"We're gonna try not to think about the playoffs right now since we've already got a birth. We've got a good Boise team coming in next week and we're just gonna try and take care of home field. Next week is our last home game and we want to go out on top at home" said Robinson.

"We've still got our work cut out you know obviously but anytime you get a win it gets more confidence. Boise comes to our house and that's how we're looking at it. So we're definitely gonna be prepared for them. We expect a high scoring game. They do a good job defensively so offensively we've got to be ready for the challenge" said Blackshear.

South Georgia will host Boise on July 18th before finishing the regular season at Tennessee Valley July 25th.
