ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A benefit concert will be held Friday night in Albany to raise money for a young man who was seriously injured in a car crash last month. 19-year old Benjamin Daniel wrecked his Ford Explorer on June 7th on his way from Valdosta to his home in Hartsfield.

He broke his neck in four places, suffered several crushed vertebra, broke his collar bone and punctured his lungs. He's currently at the Shepherd Spinal Center in Atlanta. Benjamin is a guitarist in a band, and his music friends hope to help him out tonight.

"It would just mean a lot to me and his family if everybody just came out and gave what they could to help him out, because he would do it for anybody else." The concert starts at 7 PM at the Thronateeska train depot in downtown Albany.
