ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Phoebe Putney Hospital has a new Chief Operating Officer. Joe Austin started Monday.
He comes to Albany from North Fulton Regional Hospital in Roswell, where he was the CEO. He has more than 25 years experience in health care.
He said, "Such a great opportunity. The Phoebe system has a reputation around the state as a great hospital and on the verge of building a phenomenal system here in Southwest Georgia and I just wanted to be a part of that."
Austin is from Dothan. Early in his career, he worked as an administrator at Dooly Medical Center in Vienna.
