ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Oglethorpe Boulevard Bridge gets a good bill of health after an inspection Monday.

Divers in the Flint River Monday re-examining damage to the Broad Avenue Bridge also inspected the Oglethorpe Bridge. Tuesday, the Department of Transportation said that bridge sustained no damage when flood waters rose in April and May.

Inspectors say the bridge is in good shape. The last time the bridge was inspected was May 2008. Inspectors found no additional damage to the Broad Avenue Bridge, but it remains closed because deterioration of its footings made the bridge unsafe.
