LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) - Celebrating with a bang this weekend? It seems like many people will be despite the recession.

We checked in a local tent sale, they had a steady line Friday afternoon.

TNT fireworks set up shop in the Wal-Mart Parking lot; managers say they like the foot traffic and hope it continues through the holiday.

"Despite the economy we've been doing pretty well, we hope we will do a lot better, we hope people will come out because of the price of gas maybe they're not traveling as much," said Kenneth Goff, TNT Fireworks.

TNT Fireworks plans to sell late into the night Saturday. Only sparkler type fireworks are legal in Georgia.

Those that explode are not.
