Seabrooks is hoping to have a name to recommend to the school board for their approval on July 13th.
That is three weeks before high school teams can begin practicing.
Seabrooks says the school system received seven applications for the Albany High job.
One applicant withdrew after getting another coaching job and two others did not meet the qualifications.
Seabrooks says the interim head coach will be considered when the search for a full time coach is conducted after the season.
The Albany High job became open when Reginald Mitchell resigned in early June to become the head coach at Sherwood Christian Academy.
