VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -  Four people are dead after three cars collided on 1-75 just after 2:30 Friday morning.   One of the victims is believed to be a small child.

Two cars crashed in the middle south-bound lane between exits 18 and 16. A moving truck then crashed into one of the cars, a gold sedan, causing it to explode in flames. A passing motorist pulled the driver from the car, but he was already dead.

The three others were burned beyond recognition, and died at the scene.

Timothy Brown witnessed the accident from the window of his apartment. "It was loud. It was like a gas explosion. It was really loud and the fire went all the way up in the air. It was tremendous."

A prescription bottle has been used to identify one of the victims. Authorities say she is from out-of-state. We will let you know when the victims' identities are released.
