VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Lowndes County Sheriff's investigators believe a house they raided yesterday was used as a stolen goods store.

Investigators recovered almost $80,000 worth of stolen electronics and an elaborate DVD bootlegging operation.

28-year-old Robert Mitchell was arrested for Theft by Receiving.  Authorities say he sold stolen items from his home on South Lee Street.

He had a large collection of stolen laptops, cameras, and flat-screen TV's.  Investigators also confiscated thousands of illegal DVD's, many with pornographic content.

Several people actually stopped by to purchase DVD's while sheriff's deputies were still inside the house.

"We were out there for about six hours on the search yesterday," says Captain Wanda Edwards of the Lowndes County Sheriffs Office.  "We recovered a lot of electronics, and thousands of pirated DVD's and CD's.  Apparently, he was one of the biggest suppliers in the area. He was known as Hustle Man."

Investigators found more than $15,000 in cash and a 9 millimeter handgun that had been stolen in a recent burglary in Lowndes County.
