One of this country's greatest Olympic athletes has been selected to the United States Olympic Hall of Fame.
Teresa Edwards is part of a very prestigious U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame class that includes track great Michael Johnson, the 1992 gold medal men's basketball Dream Team and skier Picabo Street.
In a statement, Edwards says her selection is the highest honor in her great athletic career since she will now be in the company of the likes of Wilma Rudolph and Muhammad Ali.
Teresa Edwards was on five U.S. Olympic women's basketball teams starting in 1984 and running through 2000.
The USA women won the gold in 1984, 1988, 1996 in Atlanta and 2000 in Sydney.
She joins former Olympics teammate Lisa Leslie and sprinter Carl Lewis as the only U.S Olympians to win gold medals in four different Olympic games.
The U-S Olympic Hall of Fame ceremony is August 12th in Chicago.
