Four people died on Georgia highways during the Christmas holiday. That was well below the 10 deaths predicted by the Georgia State Patrol.
224 people were injured in 865 accidents in the 30-hour period. The New Year's holiday will begin at 6 PM Tuesday and run through midnight January 1st.
During that time, troopers expect 758 accidents, resulting in 8 fatalities and 297 injuries.
