Estero, FL (WALB) - The South Georgia Wildcats have lost 3 consecutive games after falling on the road Saturday night to the Florida Firecats in a 62-45 decision.
South Georgia only trailed by 1 at halftime but quickly fell behind in the second half. Florida scored on it's first possesion and then recovered an on-side kick.
FB Victor Mann left the game in the 2nd quarter after a helmet to helmet hit and didn't return.
The loss drops the Wildcats to 8-5 on the season but reciever Antwone Savage isn't ready to panic.
"It's hard to lose. You don't like to lose when we play any kind of game but also you learn from these loses. It's better to lose now than in the first round of the playoffs which we did last year and lose at the end of the game off a stupid error or a silly penalty and just things like that" said Savage.
South Georgia is off next week and will look to get back in the win column July 11th when it plays host to Florida.Feedback
