ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  An Albany gang member, charged with the initiation beating death of another gang member, made his first appearance in court Friday.

32-year-old Reginald Richardson was beaten to death early Tuesday morning. Friday morning, 22-year-od Orlando Charlot, Junior made his first appearance before a Judge.

Police say Charlot was one of 15 to 20 Black Gangsta Disciple gang members who took part in the beating.

Charlot told the judge he did not understand the gang charges against him.   "I don't know what's going on. I've been accused. I don't know, I'm just here. And ready to work this out, because I don't know what is going on," he said.

Judge Robert Revel replied,  "I would encourage you to seek the counsel of your attorney."

"OK," Charlot siad.

Two other men are also charged in this same murder. David Freeman and Ernest "Scoop" Thomas appeared before a judge Thursday. Police are still looking for two other suspects, 33-year old Gregory Marshall and 26-year-old Yaaeil Shelton.
