Lee County-- A Lee County family's Christmas is lost in a fire.

A fire engulfed this Palmyra Road home just after seven last night. The Allen family narrowly escaped--but not before grabbing a few of their four-year-old daughter's Christmas presents under the tree. Fire victim, Donna Allen, says "We just knew it was out of control, got out ourselves, he got out some presents under the tree that were hers so she would have something, its sad."

The fire was nearly a total lost. All of the little girl's clothing was destroyed. The family is staying with relatives for now. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
