McCann, who has played some defensive back since joining the Wildcats, was pressed into duty as a receiver last week with the injury to receiver Antwone Savage.
With Savage's status uncertain for this week's game at Florida, coach Rodney Blackshear has no problem putting McCann into his talented rotation of receivers.
McCann has caught eight touchdown passes in his AF2 career and knows when the football is in his hands good things can happen.Ivory McCann said. "Any opportunity for me to have the football in my hands is great to me. Playing receiver this week whatever coach decides. I feel pretty good just to have the opportunity to play. Getting some touches and knowing I am going to get the ball and I can do what I need to do."
Head coach Rodney Blackshear says Wildcats line coach Dominic Bramante has taken a leave of absence due to family reasons.
Blackshear doesn't know when or if Bramante will return to the team this season.
