ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A Lee County man is wanted for questioning in a domestic dispute Wednesday.  Sheriff's deputies surrounded Kelvin Lockett's home on Lockett Road after the mother of his child called 911 claiming he beat her up and threatened her with a gun.

Sheriff Reggie Rachals says he was told, Lockett threatened his child and took the child inside the home along with a gun. When investigators finally got into the house, Lockett was no where to be found.

Family members say they heard the two arguing earlier in the day, and deputies were worried about the child's safety.

"I was outside in the garden this morning and I heard them outside arguing," said Raymond Lockett, Kelvin's Uncle

"That was out main concern was the infant, not just the female, but the infant also, because we kept getting word that he was inside with a weapon and, but he wasn't located once we went inside and checked, but the baby was located," said Lee County Sheriff Reggie Rachals.

Investigators removed several shotguns from the house, but never found the gun Lockett was supposed to have in his possession. Lockett is expected to meet with Sheriff's investigators Thursday morning. Once they hear his side of the story they'll decide on charges.
