CAMILLA, GA (WALB) - Officers handed out about three dozen citations as they kicked off this summer's Operation Zero Tolerance Friday night with a road check in Mitchell county.

Law enforcers from 12-counties took part.

They made four arrests including two felony drug arrests and one D-U-I.

Police all over south georgia want to remind you they are stepping up patrols now through July 5th for the Fourth of July campaign called Red, White or Busted.

They're focusing on getting drunk drivers off the road so everyone can have a fun, but safe holiday.
