ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Doerun Police Chief's appeal to keep his job fell on deaf ears.

Chief Randy Hill had an opportunity to plead his case Monday morning, but the city council voted four to one to uphold his firing.

Hill is no longer on the job, but will be paid through the 29th of June. He was fired after 26 years on the job when city leaders expressed a desire for new leadership and cited some management issues with Chief Hill.
