ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany's Inbound Gymnastics team is looking to take another big step forward at the AAU national meet.

Inbound coach Sandy Ewing took just her Level III gymnasts to last year's meet and all of them placed in the top five in the nation.

A great accomplishment for a team that was just three years old.

In year four, Ewing is taking her entire 22 member squad to the AAU nationals.

She knows not all of the them will post big finishes.

She is hoping the competition will be a great learning experience for her entire squad. Sandy Ewing said. "I would like to see half the team perform and do the best they can. Hopefully for those it is their first for them and it is new, it will be an eye-opener and maybe the following year they will be more mentally and physically prepared."

The AAU national meet runs next Tuesday through Sunday at the Savannah Civic Center.
