ALBANY, GA (WALB) - We've got new details on that body found Tuesday in Tift County. Investigators hope you can help identify him.

The GBI has released a picture they found inside the man's pocket. Agents say it may be a picture of him, or maybe someone who knows the man.

Investigators also say they believe that man has been dead since about some time Friday afternoon.

"We have obtained what we think is a photograph of the person. We are not sure if this is the person based on the decomposition of the body. We believe strongly that this may be the individual that we are trying to get identified," said GBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Mark Pro.

Investigators aren't sure yet how the man died. Two teens on four-wheelers found his badly decomposed body yesterday afternoon near a dirt road on Highway 125 or the Tifton/ El Dorado Road.

If you recognize the man in the photo or have any other helpful information, you should call the Tift County Sheriff's Office at 229-388-6020.
