ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team conducted a speed analysis in the fatal motorcycle crash on Ledo Road.

Investigators determined that motorcyclist David Sledge was traveling 41 miles per hour when a car pulled out in front of him on June third.

Sledge's motorcycle slammed into the car driven by Melissa Woodley.

Troopers say Sledge flew through the air for 37 feet, then skidded and tumbled on the pavement for another 34 feet.

He came to rest a total of 71 feet from the point of impact.

Troopers are still awaiting toxicology results on Woodley, who is charged with DUI/Vehicular Homicide.

They expect to have that information in about a month.
