Albany - The new political administration isn't stopping Albany from asking lawmakers for millions of dollars to pay for a long list of projects. On February 24, dozens of Albany representatives will walk up the capital steps to hand lawmakers the county's wish list of projects for the year.

A Cancer Center of Excellence, money for Chehaw Park and for 3 new buildings at Albany State, Darton, and Albany Tech top that list. "The annual Albany-Dougherty Day at the Golden Dome allows Albany to highlight the major businesses and attractions of our community," said Tim Martin, Chamber of Commerce.

The projects total well over $100,000,000.
