ALBANY, GA (WALB) -Albany State University welcomed two new recruits to campus for summer programs. One is an 11-year old journalist who has already received national attention.

11-year old Damon Weaver and his 14-year old brother Marcus Harvey live in from Pahokee, Florida.

They'll take part in A-S-U's Kiddie College and NASA summer programs.

Damon got national attention for his interviews with Vice President Joe Biden, Oprah Winfrey,  and other celebrities for his school television news program.

Weaver accepted a full scholarship to attend Albany State University after he graduates from high school and already has big goals.

Weaver said "Just to have a great time at Albany State. And I want to play football when I come to college here. And maybe one day I'll probably be the President of Albany State University."

Damon plans to continue his work as a journalist and is already planning questions for an interview with President Obama.
