MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - The search for an escaped Colquitt County inmate continues, and investigators say the man is dangerous.

Around 1:30 Monday afternoon, 33-year-old Anthony Moses Jordan escaped from the jail's exercise yard when other inmates caused a diversion.  He scaled a fence and ran off.

Investigators blocked off several streets searching for Jordan.  He's black, 5'11, 160 pounds and was wearing a white shirt and white boxers.

Jordan was in jail on aggravated assault, armed robbery, burglary and kidnapping charges.

The Sheriff's office says Jordan is facing two life sentences, and may have sought refuge with relatives nearby.

"Jailers chased him across the road, but lost him here in the area of Rowland Drive. We've had the helicopter and the K-9 unit out here searching this area. I consider him dangerous. He's not armed at this time, but I consider him dangerous," said Captain Hal Suber of the Colquitt County Sheriff's Office.

If you've seen Jordan, call the Colquitt County Sheriff's Office at (229) 616-7430.
