ALBANY, GA (WALB) - South Georgia Wildcats receiver Clenton Rafe often gets overlooked by opponents when they have to also cover Antwone Savage and Alvance Robinson.
With the Tennessee Valley Vipers locking down the other two receivers, Rafe had a big game with 12 receptions, three for touchdowns.
The former Albany State Ram is having his best season in three years of arena football.
Rafe says staying healthy is one reason and playing for coach Rodney Blackshear is the other.
Clenton Rafe said "Coach Blackshear he is a good coach. He is laid back but the thing about him I love the most is he believes in his players. Even though we are down, we are like a family. He preached that the most. Staying together."
The Wildcats are on the road Saturday at Kentucky.
They hope to have quarterback Darnell Kennedy under center.
Kennedy is listed as probable after he sprained his knee in Saturday's loss to the Vipers.
